AcroMat, a leading manufacturer of anti-fatigue mats based in the Minneapolis Metro, has announced its new 5-day guaranteed lead time – halving the company's previous 10-day lead time and allowing customers to move even faster as they prioritize employee safety.
"Safety doesn't wait, and our customers shouldn't have to wait either," says Russell Herbert, Founder & General Manager. "Our team has worked incredibly hard to make this new 5-day lead time possible, from Lean process improvements and automation to efficiency and capacity. We're thrilled to pass these improvements directly on to our clients."
"The average lead time in the anti-fatigue mat industry is 14 days for standard sizes and 6 weeks for custom sizes," continues Russell. "We're thrilled to now offer a lead time that is 2X faster than the industry norm for standard sizes and over 8X faster for custom matting."
Whether 50 or 500 anti-fatigue mats, AcroMat's 5-day lead time guarantee remains in effect. "Safety doesn't wait, and our customers shouldn't have to wait either," says Russell.

The AcroMat team has undertaken a number of process and efficiency improvements. These improvements include Lead audits and training; integrating an innovative LAP laser projection system; automations such as robotic packaging; the re-design and launch of the company's proprietary custom mat building software, AcroSketch, including real-time pricing and instant quote download; as well as capacity and space additions.
Each of these additions, among others, have played an integral role in the company's ability to cut its lead time in half. However, according to Zach Kilmer, Warehouse and Shipping Manager, the faster lead time will not come at the expense of safety.
"We're proud to be accident free for all of 2025," says Zach. "We actually haven't had a work-related injury since I joined AcroMat four years ago. It's a testament to the amount of effort we've all put in to creating a workplace where safety is proactive and intuitive."
Several of the tools and processes that support AcroMat's "proactive and intuitive" workplace include, according to Zach:
- Proper lighting and visible safety reminders
- Clear and clean walkways
- Precise amount of space between equipment
- Mandatory breaks
- Proactive and preventative medical plan
- Rigorous daily cleaning standards
- Lean audits, consultation and training
- Custom anti-fatigue mats wrapping around all workspaces
"We have been building toward and operating at a 5-day lead time pace for sometime now," concludes Russell. "We are fortunate to have a team in place and sound processes that allow us to make it official."
