In the thick of significant growth here at AcroMat, we felt 2025 was a critical time to re-evaluate our company values. As a team, we reviewed what we all felt was most important to our culture, our customers, and who we want to be as a company long term.
This led to the creation of 4 new core values:
- Bring Contagious Energy
- Make Good Things Happen
- Pioneer New Paths
- Do What's Right, Always
We're chatting with AcroMat team members to uncover what each value means to them and looks like in action. For Make Good Things, Production Associate Eric Simmons! Eric is a key member of our operations team, focusing his efforts on building custom anti-fatigue mats for our clients. Get to know Eric in the Q&A below!
Summary of the AcroMat Values.
What does “Make Good Things Happen” represent to you?
Making good things happen means to faithfully bring your best every single day – even when you don’t feel up for it. It means being skillful and excellent in your normal day-to-day tasks, bringing strong support to those on your team, and adhering to a growth mindset.
Making good things happens starts with each of us individually, becoming a collective effort where we all feel supported, encouraged, and challenged.
How does this value contribute to a positive work environment and the overall culture at AcroMat?
Here at AcroMat, we highly value accountability. This offers every team member the opportunity to affect positive influence across the entire company. When we are making good things happen on the production floor, it inspires the sales team to make good things happen during their client meetings – and vice versa. It infiltrates all departments.
We cheer one another on. We are one team, working together, to make good things happen not only for ourselves, but for one another. When we embrace this value, we all win.
Production Supervisor Dustin Indahl and Production Associate Eric Simmons.
Can you share a time when someone else made good things happen for you at AcroMat?
When I first started, my supervisors were very patient with me as I learned a new craft. While giving me space to learn, they still pushed me to hold a high standard. This made good things happen for me as it accelerated my growth – while still having grace for my mistakes and learning from them.
How do you feel this value impacts your day-to-day work?
This value helps me to not become complacent or slack off in my day-to-day work. In production, there are often many repetitive tasks and duties. We make a lot of anti-fatigue mats! While seeking to make good things happen, it enables me to pay attention to detail, have my customers in mind, and to craft the best custom anti-fatigue mats in the world.
What advice would you give to a new team member about making good things happen in their role?
Look out for opportunities to support your team in small but meaningful ways, be faithful in giving 100% – especially when you don’t feel like it – and take initiative to not only meet what is expected of you, but to exceed it.
